My design career began a while ago when I got my first design job pretty much clipping images in photoshop and retracing logos in illustrator. I was given the opportunity to design a thing here and there but soon enough I decided to enroll in graphic design school in order to gain better perspective as to what in the world it is that I was attempting to do or in this case... communicate.
I got into Design school back in 1994. It took 5 years and my first design job to realize that I still didn't know much about design. I happened to get into advertising right away. I learned two things while in the industry...
1. Advertising is not design and
2. When the client goes so does your job.
Eight years ago or so I got into web and interactive design and it was the best decision I could have made. I've had the privilege to work with very talented and hard working people. Designers, producers, art directors, creative directors, writers... they've all contributed to my growth in one way or another and I thank them for that.
I recently graduated from animation school and I'm very excited about incorporating 3D character animation to my design work in the near future.
